Frequently asked questions

What is SnIPPETsX?

SnIPPETsX is a high-performance environment for real-time code sharing, multiplayer collaboration, and isolated execution. It combines low-latency WebSockets with firewalled microVM sandboxes for over 40 languages.

Is it free to use?

Yes! The core features are completely free. You can create snippets, share them via encrypted URLs, collaborate in real-time, and execute code in 40+ languages. Pro plans unlock unlimited storage, persistent workspaces, and priority runners.

Do I need an account to use SnIPPETsX?

No. You can share code online and paste text without login. An account is completely optional and enables features like persistent room history, team workspace management, and higher storage limits.

How many people can join a snippet session?

There is no hard limit on concurrent viewers. Multiple collaborators can edit the same snippet simultaneously with live cursor synchronization, presence indicators, and real-time keystroke broadcasting.

How do team workspaces function?

Workspaces allow you to organize private snippets and assign granular roles (Owner, Admin, Member). Workspace members share unified real-time chat, private code repositories, and online presence.

Are snippets private?

By default, snippets are accessible via their unique nanoid URL (unlisted). Pro users can create private workspaces where snippets are strictly restricted to authenticated team members. Additionally, Burn-on-View snippets self-destruct after a single view.

Which languages are supported for execution?

Python, JavaScript (Node.js), TypeScript, Java, C++, C#, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP and SQL run in sandboxed containers, and HTML and CSS files render in a live web client preview. Syntax highlighting covers 40+ languages.

How does code execution isolation work?

Your code executes inside isolated, ephemeral Linux microVM containers (gVisor/Piston-based). Every container is allocated with hard 256MB memory quotas and zero host network egress, and is shredded upon completion.

Can I run multi-file projects?

Yes. Each snippet supports multiple file tabs with independent language detection. The execution engine runs the currently active tab. Free users can have up to 3 tabs per snippet; Pro users get unlimited tabs.

What is Burn-on-View?

Burn-on-View is a one-time view mode. Once the recipient views and disconnects from the session, all room memory and database records are shredded immediately. Zero traces remain.

How does subscription payment work?

We use Razorpay for secure payment processing. Pro plans are available monthly or annually with a 20% discount. We support UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking.

What happens if I downgrade from Pro?

Your existing snippets are never deleted. If your usage exceeds free tier quotas, extra content becomes read-only until you upgrade again or archive older snippets.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel at any point from your dashboard. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
